Infographic Clinic for Students

This clinic is conducted several weeks post-infographic workshop. My intention is to check and give a quick feedback on my students’ work. I was quite impressed with their work. A big change compared to what they’ve shown me in the workshop. This work is a part of the coursework for FAR241 Antimicrobe Therapy.

In general, I find there are several areas for improvement. Colour harmony, use of icons, text and its sizes are amongst the elements in the infographics. The key distinctions between a poster and an infographic were unclear to many students who designed these infographics using Piktochart, Canva and Photoshop. These distinctions were highlighted and discussed in the clinic. I also included a brief introduction to work licensed under creative common licences–an important awareness that students should have in the 21st century. Such awareness complements digital and visual skills & literacy in today’s world. Such skills will enhance their skills and make  them future-ready.
